Revisiting rock classification to estimate rock mass properties

This paper presents the results of ongoing research carried out by the author exploring methods to provide a more robust estimate of rock mass properties specifically for use in tunnel design. Data from various large-scale rock mass failures are introduced, including coal pillars. The damage-initiation,spalling-limit approach is compared to the coal pillar database. New comparisons of estimating the geological strength index(GSI) and relationships to estimate the Hoeke Brown failure criterion parameters, mb, s and a, are presented.     

Deacylation of Calcium-Dependent Antibiotics from Streptomyces violaceoruber in Co-culture with Streptomyces sp. MG7-G1

When Streptomyces violaceoruber grows together with Streptomyces sp. MG7-G1, it reacts with strongly induced droplet production on its aerial mycelium. Initially the metabolite profile of droplets from S. violaceoruber in co-culture with Streptomyces sp. MG7-G1 was compared to samples from S. violaceoruber in single-culture by using high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (HPLC-MS). Then, the exudate from agar plates of co-cultures and single cultures (after freezing and thawing) was also analysed. Several compounds were only observed when S. violaceoruber was grown in co-culture. Based on their high-resolution ESI mass spectra and their comparable retention times to the calcium-dependent antibiotics (CDAs) produced by S. violaceoruber, the new compounds were suspected to be deacylated calcium-dependent antibiotics (daCDAs), lacking the 2,3-epoxyhexanoyl residue of CDAs. This was verified by detailed analysis of the MS/MS spectra of the daCDAs in comparison to the CDAs. The major CDA compounds present in calcium ion-supplemented agar medium of co-cultures were daCDAs, thus suggesting that Streptomyces sp. MG7-G1 expresses a deacylase that degrades CDAs.     

Effect of lanthanum doping on water content and diffusion properties of corundum for producing transparent ceramics

The effect of doping corundum with lanthanum on the content of water and other gas impurities, on the diffusion characteristics, on the unit cell size and static strength of fine-crystalline corundum synthesized under thermovapours conditions in a supercritical water fluid was studied.Content, release and diffusion coefficients of water and other volatile impurities in corundum were measured by kinetic thermodesorption mass spectrometry. Water is the main volatile impurity in fine-crystalline corundum. It was found that the introduction of lanthanum into the structure of corundum reduces several times the content of water and other gas-liquid impurities. An increase in the diffusion coefficient of water during the doping of corundum with lanthanum leads to an increase in the degassing rate of fine-crystalline raw materials. When doping corundum, lanthanum, being localized in structural defects, not only displaces structural hydroxyl groups with the formation of strong aluminate-like bonds, but also decreases in the unit cell and increases in the average static strength of the crystals. La-doped corundum, due to the reduced content of water and other gas impurities, is a promising raw material for the production of transparent ceramics.

本文从影响房建施工中大体积混凝土质量的因素出发,并对无缝的技术方案进行着重探讨。     

场协同对PP/PS复合体系传热传质性能的影响

从动量和能量守恒方程出发,提出速度场与温度场的协同耦合作用对聚合物流动与换热具有重要影响,并以此为依据设计了新型扭转螺杆结构和场协同螺杆。以聚丙烯(PP)和聚苯乙烯(PS)为原料制备PP/PS复合材料体系,通过挤出试验对比研究了常规螺杆与场协同螺杆的传热传质性能。结果表明,相对于常规螺杆,设置有扭转螺杆结构的场协同螺杆的数均粒径更小、粒径分布密度和平均停留时间更大,提高了挤出机的混合能力;场协同螺杆的对流换热系数更大、径向温差更小,提高了挤出机的换热能力。     

Identification of In Vitro Metabolites of Synthetic Phenolic Antioxidants BHT,BHA, and TBHQ by LC-HRMS/MS

Butylated hydroxytoluene (BHT) and its analogs, butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA) and tert-butyl-hydroquinone (TBHQ), are widely used synthetic preservatives to inhibit lipid oxidation in the food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Despite their widespread use, little is known about their human exposure and related biotransformation products. The metabolism of these compounds was investigated using in vitro incubations with human and rat liver fractions. Liquid chromatography coupled to high-resolution tandem mass spectrometry was employed to detect and characterize stable and reactive species formed via oxidative metabolism, as well as phase II conjugates. Several oxidative metabolites have been detected, as well as glutathione, glucuronide, and sulfate conjugates, many of which were not previously reported. A combination of accurate mass measurements, MS/MS fragmentation behavior, and isotope-labeling studies were used to elucidate metabolite structures.     

不同工质回路热管负载功率变化下的质量流量特性

为了进一步提高回路热管仿真精度并丰富回路热管实验研究方法，本文对回路热管瞬态传质进行实验研究。使用高精度质量流量计分别对以丙酮、乙醇、丙烯为工质的回路热管进行不同负载功率下的质量流量测量研究。结果表明：启动阶段，热负载10W时，丙烯回路比丙酮回路热管启动快，且两者的温度稳定均滞后于质量流量；稳定阶段，随着热负载功率增大，不同工质的回路热管的平均质量流量均线性增长，而瞬态质量流量则持续波动，其质量流量波动幅度均呈现先减小后增大的趋势。质量流量波动幅度会受到气体工质的可压缩性与作用在毛细芯内部上的热量的共同影响。通过频谱分析发现，液相质量流量波动还会受到冷凝器两相区的影响。高热负载下，作用在毛细芯内部上的热量占主导地位，质量流量波动加剧，同时出现周期性大幅波动，且其波动频率随着热负载增大而增大。     

一种轻小型四极杆质谱仪射频电源的研制

四极杆结构是四极杆质谱仪的核心结构，由射频电源分别施加两组高压高频信号进行驱动，利用电场的变化和输入离子的质荷比差异对离子进行筛选。针对四极杆质谱仪小型化的研制需求，以信号调制模块、放大模块、反馈电路和直流模块为基本构型，设计了一种应用于轻小型四极杆质谱仪的射频驱动电源。经实际测试，该电源可以在谐振频率1.33 MHz、扫描频率10 Hz的输入条件下，输出峰 峰值电压最高可达3.33 kV的调幅射频高压信号并驱动四极杆结构，扫描切换时间不高于1 ms。射频电源输出信号稳定、波动小、交直比的波动为0.1%。该射频电源相较于常规的四极杆射频电源具有更高的扫描范围，体积小巧，功耗仅30 W，接口简单，有较高的实用价值。
